YUMA x PHOTO LONDON

Displayed at Photo London for the first time, this presentation traces over 20 years of Cuban experience through portraits, interiors, streets and fragments of the built environment. It reveals a society shaped by emigration, scarcity, and revolution.

Rooted in long-term relationships, James Clifford Kent’s photographs observe everyday life with precision: care, improvisation, waiting and resilience. The work forms a layered portrait of family, labour, faith and public space, marked by absence and strain.

YUMA is a study of resistance, return and survival, offering an unflinching account of an island in transition.
